An inspiring visit by the Mayor of Amersfoort to the Honorary Consulate of Türkiye

Last friday, we had the honor of welcoming the Mayor of Amersfoort, Mr. Lucas Bolsius, to the Honorary Consulate of Türkiye in Woudenberg (Amersfoort).

It was a highly valuable visit, during which we, together with Honorary Consul Titus F.P. Kramer, engaged in an open and constructive dialogue on various topics that impact our community.

We discussed the challenges and opportunities for young people with a Turkish background, the strengthening of trade relations between the Netherlands and Turkey, and the cultural exchanges that connect both nations. Education and university collaboration were also key topics, as we explored opportunities for exchange programs.

The Honorary Consulate is committed to building bridges between the Turkish and Dutch communities—whether in business, culture, or society. We take pride in our role as a connector and look forward to further expanding this collaboration.

We sincerely thank the Mayor for his time and dedication, and we look forward to future meetings where we can work together towards a stronger, more connected community.

Here’s to more meaningful initiatives and partnerships!
